What is Misting Technology?
Misting is based on the principles of evaporative cooling and is the result of extracting heat energy from the air and using that energy to transform water from liquid to vapor. This process is called flash evaporation.

How does Mist work?
American Mist Systems uses this technology to provide cooler temperatures through evaporation. Thermal Dynamics, otherwise know as evaporative cooling, is a simple process. Since water requires energy to evaporate (600 calories of heat per gram of water) the energy exchange results in temperature reductions per the mist evaporation. The amount of cooling varies depending upon the climate, however it is possible to achieve the cooling temperatures of about 40 degrees F.
